sandrasbaby Baby R

Baby R was born to a lovely Fort Lewis family at Madigan Army Medical Center. His mother left wonderful feedback for me on doulamatch.net and in the testimonial section of my site. She was another wonderful mother that I was able to work for and one of those who make my job feel like the blessing that it is. Baby R's father was deployed when he was born and we arranged for S. to Skype with him right after. He got to meet his son through Skype and I held up the cell phone so that he could see how much his new son weighed. It was such a wonderful experience to work for them. Baby R is a little ray of sunshine.

babybennett Alex and Bennett

Bennett was born to Alex and her husband after a long first stage of labor. She is such a fabulous mother and you can see that in how she looks lovingly at him as she holds him in this photo. Bennett was born in Tacoma 55 minutes after Alex made it to the hospital. He was an all natural birth and over 9 lbs of chunky monkey.

anthonyin Baby A.

Baby A. was born to an antepartum doula client. Margot Dawson left feedback in the testimonial section of my website and you can read all about baby A's birth story. We continue to talk often and baby A. just had his first birthday! I definitely work for the best families on earth!

babyzoeandsisterKiki Holds Zoe

Big sister Kiki holds baby Zoe in this photo. You can tell Zoe was her's from the start! Zoe's mom Seara had an awesome natural birth in Tacoma, Washington. She had all of her family there to welcome baby Zoe into the world and was met with open arms by her mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, 2 aunts, and one great aunt. Her family was full of fun and we laughed all through Zoe's birth.

Every birth that I attend is special and memorable. Each mother is unique and strong. Each mother is beautiful and brings her baby into the world in a different way. I have been honored a blessed to be meeting the babies for over a year now. While I cannot share every picture of new babies and families on my site they all have a special place in my heart. Being a doula is more than a job to me. It is a calling.
